Here is the second side of the tsuba I worked on, as you can see it’s a rough job. This is only the first layer though Im going to have to go back and cleanup lines and such and try to improve it despite the pretty flawed lines in the engraving itself. Im really hoping that by the end of the week I can have the entire katana looking better for its trip to Ireland. Afterall it has to be able to compete with the bat’leth which is supremely impressive, specifically in the katas that will be performed. I really want this katana to look sharp and have enough flare to maybe give it a little of what the aluminum competition weapons bring in show but still hold its status of being a live deadly weapon.
